春节经历英语作文(春节体验英语作文)
Spring Festival, also known as Chinese New Year, is the most important traditional festival in China. It is a time for family reunions, filled with rich cultural connotations and various activities. My Spring Festival experiences are always memorable and meaningful.
I. Preparations before Spring Festival
In the days leading up to Spring Festival, the whole country is immersed in a festive atmosphere. Families start to clean their houses thoroughly, which is called "sweeping away the dust". This action not only makes the living environment more comfortable but also symbolizes the removal of bad luck. People paste spring couplets on the doors, which are usually symmetrical phrases expressing good wishes such as "Good fortune and happiness come from heaven and earth" and "May wealth and treasures fill your home". The red color of the couplets adds to the festive flair. For example, my family would often choose couplets with auspicious words like "Prosperity and longevity" and "Peace and happiness". We also hang lanterns, and the red lanterns light up at night, creating a warm and joyful ambiance.
Another important preparation is buying New Year goods. Shops are crowded with people purchasing a wide array of items. There are all kinds of candies, fruits, and nuts. Fruits like apples, which symbolize peace and safety, and oranges, which represent good fortune, are particularly popular. We also buy new clothes, believing that wearing new clothes on New Year's Day can bring new hope and good luck. Children are especially excited as they look forward to getting lucky money. Parents carefully prepare red packets filled with money as gifts for their children and sometimes for the children of relatives and friends.

I. Celebration during Spring Festival
On New Year's Eve, family members gather together for a sumptuous reunion dinner. Dishe after dish is served on the table, including fish (which signifies abundance year after year), dumplings (which mean wealth and reunion), and roasted pork (indicating completeness). During the dinner, we chat, share stories, and express our good wishes for the coming year. For example, last year, my grandparents shared stories from their youth during the dinner, and we listened intently. After dinner, we stay up late to watch the Spring Festival Gala on TV while setting off fireworks outside. The colorful fireworks lighting up the sky are truly a spectacular sight, filling the air with excitement and joy.
During the following days of the Spring Festival holiday, people visit relatives and friends, exchanging greetings and gifts. Children are busy paying respects to elders and receiving lucky money. Traditional activities like lion dances and temple fairs are held in many places. I remember going to a local temple fair where there were various stalls selling handicrafts, snacks, and toys. There were also performances of traditional Chinese opera, acrobats, and folk dances, attracting large crowds. People laughed and enjoyed themselves, fully immersing in the festive atmosphere.

I. Conclusion
Spring Festival is not just a festival; it is deeply rooted in Chinese culture and embodies the values of family unity, harmony, and good fortune. My experiences during Spring Festival are filled with warmth, happiness, and cultural heritage. These experiences not only strengthen the bond between family members but also pass on the precious traditions to the next generation. Every Spring Festival leaves me with wonderful memories and a deeper understanding of the essence of Chinese culture. As we celebrate this festival year after year, we continue to carry forward the spirit of it, making it an everlasting treasure in our hearts.
