Our English teacher was very enthusiastic and creative. She often used multimedia resources to teach us and organized interesting classroom activities like English corner and English drama performances. For example, in an English drama performance, my classmates and I put on a short play about "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer". To prepare for this performance, we had to practice our lines repeatedly, learn about the characters' emotions, and even make simple props by ourselves. Through this process, not only did we improve our English speaking and listening skills, but also enhanced our teamwork abilities. Besides English, I also found Mathematics quite intriguing. Solving complex math problems gave me a sense of accomplishment. I remember spending a lot of time working on geometry proofs, and when I finally figured out the solutions, the feeling of satisfaction was overwhelming.

Extracurricular activities were another highlight of my middle school life. There were many clubs and organizations to choose from, such as the literature club, the science club, the sports club, and the art club. I joined the sports club and participated in several school sports competitions. In the school sports meet, I took part in the 800-meter race. At first, I was a bit nervous and worried about whether I could finish the race or not. However, with the encouragement of my classmates and the training I had undergone, I managed to run steadily and achieved a good result. The social aspect of middle school life was also very important to me. I made many good friends during that time. We studied together, played together, and shared our happiness and sorrows. We would often gather in the dormitory at night (if I stayed in a boarding school) and talk about our dreams, our favorite books, or interesting things that happened during the day. Some of my friends were really talented in certain fields. One of my friends was excellent in painting. He would often show me his works and share his ideas about art with me. Through interacting with him, I learned to appreciate different forms of art and developed a broader perspective on the world.
